What kids will learn
- In Little Listeners, children aged 2-5 enjoy Hindustani classical music in a relaxed, pressure-free way. By simply listening and watching, they get familiar with the sound of the swaras (notes), the beat of the taal (rhythm), and the patterns of simple alankars. They also hear the soothing flow of raagas and the joy of bandishes, songs and semi-classical compositions. With regular listening, their ears learn to recognise melody, rhythm and pitch, and they grow up with a natural love for Indian music. By the time they turn 5, they are ready to begin the Base Level with confidence, curiosity and a happy musical foundation.
